Christmas is a time of seeing the good things of life. The little details that make us smile and happy. We all get together to enjoy the company of the ones we love the most. And what a better way to honor that than a race of pugs dressed up for the season.
Pug, as all dogs, are adorable and lovely. but there is something special in the squished face breed that makes them cute and funny at the same time. For a reason, the internet is obsessed with them.
Christmas in Canberra.
Well to celebrate Christmas the city of Canberra hosted a pug race. As part of the “Christmas in the City” celebrations.
Yes, some owners take #pug racing very seriously. #Visitcanberra #canberra #dogs #pugracing pic.twitter.com/njENtiqAAv

The race.
The race counted with 50 pugs, who sprinted down City Walk in Canberra, Australia, on Monday.
The track.
It was 15 meters long. And we must be honest with you guys, it wasn’t a close race. It was more of a race meets walking through a full club.
Pug sporting managers.
Owners were encouraged to participate. Match dress with their dogs or simply by helping them get across the finish line. To encourage them they could bring a toy or favorite chewing object to use during the race.
Best Christmas tradition ever.
This initiative is so awesome it should be a tradition in every city of the world. As well this is probably how Santa would pull his sled in modern times.
