The video of a Californian High School teacher opening his students’ gift has gone viral. Taylor Kerby didn’t expect his students to give him a present, his reaction to the surprise is heartwarming. It truly is the loveliest thing you’ll see today.
The kids kindly surprised their teacher on Tuesday by giving him a pair of Vans shoes and his reaction is the truest expression of joy. One of the students tweeted the video and it has over 140 k likes.

It all started with a compliment.
Taylor Kerby is a psychology teacher at Edgewood High School in West Covina, California. When school started earlier this year, he complimented one of his students on his shoes and also said he wanted some.
Surprise, surprise!
Then came Christmas, and his students decided to give him the best surprise ever. On Tuesday they presented a gift to him, and Taylor excitement was out of this world. He couldn’t believe what his students did for him.

Three students were the masterminds behind the cute idea. Faye, Olivia, and Dyani came up with the idea after learning that Taylor probably wouldn’t buy the shoes. So, they think it would be awesome to join the whole class to surprise the awesome teacher.
Coming together.
The 25 member class joined forces and gave about $2 every day. In two weeks they gather enough money to buy the shoes and on Tuesday they presented the thoughtful gift to Taylor. During the beginning of the class, that is when they share good things that have happened to them.

Touched and moved.
Taylor who just joined Edgewood High School this year was pretty moved by the kids’ gesture. Kerby loves his job and kids but didn’t really expect them to like him or give him anything. So the gift really took him by surprise.
Not only Taylor was bursting with joy.
Once people learned about it on Twitter, they reacted really positively and shared the love. The video has now over 142 k likes and 51k RT.
