A man in Parma, Ohio built a two-story ‘Star Wars’ inspired Halloween yard display just to get in the season spirit. Nick Meyer’s replica has brought media attention and visitors.
In other ‘Star Wars’ news, the Han Solo film got his anticipated title last week, and it’s not that surprising. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 25th, 2018.
Just a little replica in the yard
A ‘Star Wars’ inspired Halloween yard display is encouraging kids to get their lightsabers in Parma, Ohio.
Nick Meyer put a lot of effort and time to build the 2 stories replica of the ‘Star Wars’ AT-AT, or All-Terrain Armored Transport, just to have it right on Halloween. He delivered, the cockpit even lights at night!
Meyer is an elevator mechanic who decided to build it along with his friend Anthony Paroda. Their replica is such a success that spectators are donating money to them to build another display next year.
Meyer said he built it with plywood, hard foam and plastic barrels. It’s based the design on a toy he bought online.
This isn’t Meyer first rodeo when it comes to building cool yard displays. In fact, it’s his sixth year in a row. He’s built from an Addams Family mausoleum to the stern of a pirate ship jutting out from his front porch.
“The creepiness, the decorating, being able to dress up and pretend to be a kid still — it keeps me young,” Nick Meyer said.
The in November he tears them down in and drinks beers with a friend when dreaming up the next year’s display.
Finally getting a title, and is not surprising
Director Ron Howard revealed the anticipated and long-awaited title to the upcoming Han Solo standalone film via social media. He also announced the production’s wrap last Monday.
“I’d like to take this moment to thank an incredibly talented cast and crew for all their hard work,” Howard said, before clarifying,
“Can we even say the name of the movie?”
And you might have guessed it, it’s ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’.
The title definitely keeps in line with the ‘Star Wars‘ franchise’s other standalone films, such as ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.’

I’ve been saying it for years: The Han Solo movie should be called TWO ROGUES for absolute maximum audience confusion
