Shia Labeouf Was Arrested Live on Stream, Here’s Why

He Will Not Divide Us Is A 4-Year Proyect

Shia LaBeouf is one of the weirdest celebrities of all time. As we have seen him grown from the little brother at Disney’s “Even Stevens” to the “Just Do It” nutjob. He has become a really odd personality.

Not only because of that hilarious “motivational” video. But because aside from his acting career he has become a performance artist.  Creating strange situations like 3-days things marathon of his movies at the Angelika Film Center in Manhattan. A month later he asked people to “touch his soul” in Liverpool, England.

Artistic genius-ish

Since Shia LaBeouf has turned into an artist he has done “unique projects.” Between those, the latest one is a protest set to last 4 years. As a part of his “He Will Not Divide Us” campaign. In which he protests against Trump’s regime and his xenophobic politics.

The project consists of a live stream that will last as long as Trump’s presidency. In which Shia and everyone who wants to participate said the slogan/name of the project: “He will not divide us.” All of this outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, NY.

Art is a crime.

LaBeouf has been imprisoned, after much controversy and many provocations. He was arrested on Thursday morning after 12.30 a.m. All of this happened after he got into a fight with a man outside the installation. As he allegedly pulled off the man’s scarf and scratched his face.

This happened while doing his artistic protesting against president Trump outside the installation. As in the video is seen how a bearded LaBeouf is handcuffed, while he and some supporters of his cause keep saying the “slogan” of the protest.

Angry at the system.

LeBeouf’s project was started on Inauguration Day and counts with the collaboration of other two artists: Nastja Sade Ronkko and Luke Turner. As the actor placed a camera outside the Museum.

Shia LeBeouf has a past of violent and minor offenses, for what he has been jailed for before. As the actor was charged this time with misdemeanor assault and harassment.  He wasn’t incarcerated but was issued with an appointment at court on April 4th. According to detective Adam Navarro of the New York City Police Department.
