Selena Gomez released a new track, ‘Fetish’ and it’s definitely our new craze. The singer released the song via Spotify as well as a pretty sultry audio video.
Taylor Swift broke her social media silence to applaud and support Selena with an Instagram post. After all, that’s what friends do.
Sultry and sexy new song
It’s only been a month since Selena last broke the internet with a great new song, and now she did it again.
At midnight on Thursday, Selena dropped ‘Fetish’. The second single from her forthcoming new album said to be titled SG2. The singer song shows a dreamier side to Gomez’ pop discography and features a verse from Gucci Mane.
Along with the awesome track, she debuted an audio-video that broke the internet too. The video got over 10 million views in a day. The video, which was directed by Petra Collins. It focuses on Selena’s glossed lips singing along with the words.
Selena has also teased a full-length video, also directed by Collins, posting several stills on Instagram that see Gomez looking despondent in a Simone Rocha dress in a suburban home.
She shared clips and photos of the mysterious photo shoot on her Instagram account on Tuesday and Wednesday. After all this teasing, the official video must be just around the corner,
Showing support
Taylor Swift has been conspicuously silent lately, both on social media and in real life.
There was no famous Fourth of July party this year, and we’ve had to wait literal months between posts on Instagram. But now she’s back and this time to promote BFF Selena Gomez’s new song “Fetish”, featuring Gucci Mane.
The singer posted the single cover art, which featured Gomez posing next to a broken down car with shopping bags in her hands. Along with several clapping emojis and this caption,
“Sultry pop magic from this dreamy almost-birthday-girl.”
Enough said.
The post marks Swift’s first Instagram post since May, when she posted a similar show of support for Haim’s lead single “Want You Back” and Lorde‘s “Green Light.”
In total, Swift has only posted 19 pictures in 2017, most of which were shots from her concert of the year, back in February, and behind-the-scenes photos from her music video for “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” with Zayn, which was released in January.
Clearly, Swift is a big fan of Gomez’s new song and a really supportive friend.
