Superheroes have always been one of those cool things we grow up with. That in many cases even accompany us through adult ages too. The simple thought of being able to throw laser beams, turn into fire, have super strength or fly is awesome. Something that could easily by part of anyone’s fantasy from time to time.
But for many not only classic superhero concept is enough. As there is a different kind of “breed” of powerful beings. Being those the mutants, and the most famous ones are The X-Men. Who have a bit of a dark and dense component into their storyline.
The most famous X-Men.
You don’t need to be a hardcore superhero fan to know who we are speaking of. Without a doubt, the most known of all the X-Men is Wolverine or Logan. As you rather call him you know he has a bad attitude and he is badass.
To the point that he even has his own storyline. A bit more of a spotlight than others in Xavier’s Academy. But there is truly a reason it’s due to its awesomeness. Recently the second trailer of Logan’s most recent story has been released and as anything it has to do with him it kicks ass.
Logan is growing up.
In the Logan trailer movie, we also see that this time Wolverine is a bit older and in a way tired. As he is protection Professor X on the Mexican border when all the bad guys come in. Also, we see that in a way the Logan character is a bit more mature and dense as he seems to discover new aspects of life.
But despite that the classical essence of kicking everyone’s ass if they disturb him is untouched. As we see the classical moody and anger reactions of Wolverine as he tears his enemies apart. In a very literal fashion.
The trailer shows us a little girl. But it seems that nobody should be messed with her as she clearly has more power than she might look. In a way, for anyone who has watched Stranger Things, the introduction of the trailer reminds us a lot of Eleven.
Also, we see that Logan takes care of her, at the same time he does of professor Xavier. We don’t know it she is his daughter or not. Since she has the attitude and the claws of Wolverine. Creating an incredible dashing tag team in some of the fight scenes they allow us to watch.
More centered man.
The movie as Jackman has stated is more centered on the man (Logan) than in the superhero (Wolverine). As it doesn’t attach to a specific timeline of the X-Men’s story. As Hugh Jackman who has played Wolverine in all the franchise movies has stated this story is in a parallel world of the other movies.
“And so Jim [Mangold] and I had this blank canvas and we wanted to make something really different. Definitely totally different, I kept thinking The Wrestler, Unforgiven. He was thinking Unforgiven as well and The Gauntlet and these other movies which just seemed to really match his character. Early on we had the idea for the title not having anything to do with Wolverine in it, but making this more about the man. And what the collateral damage of being Wolverine your entire life would be.” Stated Hugh Jackman.
The movie has a different vibe.
Even though it has some classical element of the other Wolverine movies. Like an evil corporation chasing him and this time chasing the little girl too. There are some elements, and new bad guys, that have been changed as we can see in the second trailer of Logan.
“It’s a standalone movie in many ways, It’s not really beholden to timelines and storylines in the other movies. Obviously, Patrick Stewart is in there so we have some crossover, but it feels very different and very fresh.” Jackman said.
The movie will count with some classical characters and actors like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Professor X. With obviously some new faces on the cast due to the new characters.Logan, as the trailer shows, will be released on March 3rd of 2017.
