Fall Out Boy was and still is one of the most influential bands around. Through their crappy haircuts, mellow emo songs and dorky way of being they established as one of the key bands of the early 2000’s. But even though they’re well known for their music it seems that they’re expanding to movies.
The band has experienced a revival in later years. Since we saw them getting back on the game with their 2015 album “American Beauty/American Psycho,” and their collaborations with various artists. So what are the guys from Fall Out Boy doing asking so urgently to their fans to head to the cinemas?
Treasure hunt
The band shared a cryptic video through their official Instagram account. As the post intrigues and teases about a possible new project of the band. The clip shows “MANIA Entertainment Group’s ” logo before showing a message that asks: “Chicago please silence your cell phones at 11 am CST.”
The post also had a list of movie theaters, wich pointed to a movie or video related event. So the speculation began about what the band will do. If they were going to release a video, a movie or what?
First clue
Now a Twitter user appears caught the teaser in a Chicago movie theater and posted it online. With the clip featuring some tropical scenes and music after it the date “4.28.17,” so the mystery persists. It surely is the release date of something, so what would it be? Possibly regarding new music from the group.
In the meantime frontman, Patrick Stump has participated in the soundtrack of “The Lego Batman Movie” and the recent reboot of “Ghostbusters,” along with his bandmates and Missy Elliott. As they recorded a cover of Ray Parker Jr’s theme. While bassist Pete Wentz participated along with other musicians in the “Make New York Fashion Week Great Again”. We will have to wait and see what the guys of Fall Out Boy are planning.
