It seems that nowadays the entertainment industry is lacking ideas. With the reboot of pretty much everything or the grasping to classic franchises. Just think about Disney, sure they’ve still produced some good animated films like Zootopia, Big Hero 6 and a few more. But what’s the need of making a live version of every princess movie they have ever made?
In the other and brighter side this has given nostalgia fans some grat news in many cases. Like one of it being the reboot of DuckTales. An amazing cartoon that ran on Disney from 1987 to 1990. Featuring Donald Duck’s family mainly. As we saw Huey, Dewey and Louie and Dewey and uncle Scrooge McDuck go on some incredible adventures. As well they will always count on the company of Launchpad McQuack, Mrs. Beakley, and her nice Webby Vanderquack.
The DuckTales are back.
The amazing and thrilling duck adventures are back and will premiere on Disney XD in summer of 2017. The new version of the beloved show will count not only with an impressive cast for the voices. As well they will count with some big league names on the animation department.
The new ducks in town.
For the ones that were able to see the original DuckTales the way the characters sound will be forever in our hearts. As the voice really makes a big part of the characters personality. But in this occasion Disney, as they tend to do, has set the bar really high. They got Bobby Moynihan, Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennet and David Tennant.
Role to play.
Tennant will voice Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie will be voiced by Pudi, Schwartz, and Moynihan respectively. As Bennett will voice buffy and dorky Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge’s pilot, while Olagundoye will be Mrs. Beakley, Scrooge’s maid, and a nanny. Finally but not least Micucci will interpret Webby Vanderquack, Mrs. Beakley’s granddaughter. Tons of fancy names don’t you think?
Animation heavyweights.
Even though it all is “behind the camera” the brains behind the project will be Matt Youngberg, from Ben 10: Omniverse, as executive producer and Francisco Angones, Wander Over Yonder, the as the story editor and co-producer. Finally, as art director will be “Gravity Falls” Sean Jimenez.
The business.
Most of this stars are not in the business because of their singing ability. But we really love the playful way they have to take this promotional singing video. Besides the internet has blast with it, since we can’t wait to see the new version of this lovely animated series.
