On his birthday, Chuck Berry announced the release of his first album after 40 years of musical silence. Yes, he’s a 90-year-old man releasing his latest production and this are awesome news! Given that Chuck has been talking about releasing an album for several years now!
Berry, which is considered one of the founding fathers of rock music, will release this new album titled “Chuck” next year. The album is being produced by Dualtone Records and will consist in songs written and produced by Berry. The album is dedicated to his wife of 68 years, Toddy.
His children Charles Berry Jr. and Indrig Berry will take part in the new album, playing the guitar and the harmonica. Other players that will work with Berry are bassist Jimmy Marsala, pianist Robert Lohr, and drummer Keith Robinson.

AND…a really cool fact: It was “Johnny B. Goode” that NASA chose as the only rock recording to be sent into outer space on the Voyager space probe in 1977.
