Everything You Need To Know About Jhonny Depp’s Character In Fantastic Beasts

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has a huge surprise for you, so in case you haven’t watch the movie, beware because this post is full of spoilers. That being said, Johnny Depp is in the movie, he plays Gellert Grindelwald, an evil magician that is a former Dumbledore friend.

You are not the only one shocked, even the actors were impressed, it was a surprise for all. Depp lines appeared on the script as J.D but they didn’t have a clue of who he was, it was all a secret. His character is really cool.

The transformation is revealed in the film’s final scenes when Percival, played by Collin Ferrell, transforms into Depp’s character.

2. He used to be friends with Albus Dumbledore.

They were very close. The two made plans to find the Deathly Hollows and start a wizarding revolution, but they got into a fight with Aberforth Dumbledore in which Ariana passed away. J.K Rowling even said that Albus was gay and in love with Grindelwald, that is really close.

He stole the Elder Wand to proceed with the revolution he had planned with Dumbledore and he  established a power base in continental Europe.
