You might have noticed that in your classroom a few people have the same name, maybe spelled a little different, but pretty much the same, maybe you can notice this even in your group of friends, and that’s pretty normal because names come in generational trends.
I often say names are like clothes and if that sounds strange to you I get it, but aloud me to explain you why I see it that way. Both clothing and names are a way of identification, very different of course, but they are. One serves for who you are and the other of how you are. But the main similarity is the trend.
Maybe in this decade the name Justin is very on trend and you see a lot of new borns named this way, that might be due to multiple causes, for a starlet, a hero, an athlete etc. Last decade I’m sure the trendy name was other. It’s all about generations.
Styles tend to come back, but not all of them, there are some clothes that will never be back on trend, and so are names, maybe you hear one name no one uses anymore giving you a weird feeling. We brought you a list of 22 names that you won’t here anymore:
22. Debra

Is a female name that was a hit in the 50’s but you won’t be hearing anyone yelling this anymore
21.Maureen

For females. It was rising since the 20’s but it started to fall in the 60’s and is very rare these days.
