Lindsay Lohan is officially back to the screens! The actress has joined the second season of the comedy series ‘Sick Note.’ Started by Rupert Grint, Nick Frost, and Don Johnson.
Well, technically she was not really “away” from screens. Back in 2013, she made a cameo appearance on ‘Eastbound & Down’s series finale, and later in 2014 she did a guest appearance on ‘2 Broke Girls.’ And let’s not forget her lead role in the ‘The Canyons’ flop. But it’s fair to say she has taken sort of a break from big productions.
On Monday, she announced that she has enrolled for ‘Sick Note’s second season. The Sky 1’s British sitcom has yet to premiere its first season, set to air this fall. But it has already been renewed for a second season, which is currently in production.

The comedy follows the story of Daniel Glass (Grint), an insurance rep, dealing with a failed relationship. He’s told by mistake that he has a terminal illness, but when his doctor (Frost) tells him he’s fine, he convinces Glass to keep the truth from his family and friends and pretend he’s sick. A lie that will sooner or later get out of control.
Lohan will join season two as Katerina West, the daughter of Glass’s boss (Johnson). The second season is expected to arrive in 2018.
Directed by Matt Lipsey, the series was created and written by Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz; produced by the firm King Bert, and executively produced by Jo Sargent, alongside actors David Walliams and Miranda Hart.
Sargent said in an interview: “We are thrilled to be making a second [season] of this nail-biting comedy and very excited to be welcoming the extraordinary talents of Lindsay Lohan to our all-star cast.”
‘The Anti-Social Network’ is still in the works
Back in March, Lohan released a teaser for a new prank reality show called ‘The Anti-Social Network.’

“I’m back, b*tches,” the teaser begins. She followed to explain the show, in which she secretly takes over other people’s social media accounts. Meaning Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter, for 24 hours. “I love social media. I am social media,” she says. “Everybody knows you should never leave your phone lying around — especially near me.”
As part of the game, she will give each of the unsuspecting contestants three challenges that they have to complete to win a big prize.
Her team is still looking for a home for her series.
