A lot is seen and experienced in times of war. For anyone who has lived through it, war sure is a life changing experience. Of course, there’s a lot of evil and sadness during wars, but it also brings the opportunity to show some good in human beings.
Some soldiers carried cameras during their military service, in order to record specific activities. Some of these photos were gathered into “The Vietnam Slide Project,” which allows us to see through the eyes of soldiers this tragic historical event.

2. Hard times. Being in war is not easy, but coming back home and leave your partners is harder.
3. There’s always time to laugh. Human beings have an awesome capacity to overcome situations, and laughing is one of the ways we cope with these situations.
4. Curiosity works both ways. These kids are as curious about their photographer as their photographer of them.

6. It’s all a matter of perspective, sometimes being in a hole seems a difficult situation, but it might offer a comlete change of view.
7. Compassion. The most difficult times bring the opportunity to do some good, and be kind to other people.
8. Exhaustive. Sometimes a good rest allows to clear the mind and appreciate everything you got.
9. Being a photographer is a full time job, but a photographer always finds time for priceless moments.
10. Working hard and in team. Some say that if you want to go fast, you should go alone, but if you want to go far, then go together.

12. Having the opportunity to explore a different culture, and to get to know their ways and traditions.
13. It doesn’t matter how difficult the situation is, you always can fun and laugh. These soldier are not the exception to that rule and they found a moment to remember the beauty of life.

16. Brotherhood. Definitely hard times bring people together, in the case of this and many more units they became a family, always watching each others back.
