90’s Kid Rejoice! The Iconic Rugrats ‘Reptar Bar’ Are Real

They’ll Definitely Turn Your Tongue Green

American retailer FYE is selling the ‘Rugrats’ iconic ‘Reptar Bars,” and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. The company announced it was bringing to life the fictional chocolate that featured on the 90s show.

The ‘Rugrats’ recently set the internet into a frenzy after fans started imagining how the characters would look now. And we have the answer for you.

The ‘Reptar Bars’ are now a thing

These are the days of the 90s nostalgia, definitely. While ‘Hey Arnold!’ is getting an answering-huge-mysteries-movie, ‘Rugrats’ fans are getting their own “Reptar Bars.”

That’s, right, nineties babies, it’s about time to break out of your playpen and head to the mall for a nostalgic snack.

American retailer FYE has brought the “Reptar Bar” back to life. The fictional chocolate bars from Rugrats.

The store announced that it is selling the bars at its 250 stores.

The “Reptar Bars” are milk chocolate filled with green frosting. According to FYE will “turn your tongue green”.

The product first debuted as a product of fiction from an episode of Nickelodeon’s iconic cartoon Rugrats, which debuted in 19991. And since it has appeared on shelves on-and-off since the show debuted in 1991.

FYE, as well as many of us, is really down for the 90s nostalgia and is also selling Reptar cereal, promising “monster flavor in every bite”.

Mystery solved, this is how the gang would look like now

Enough of the 90s nostalgia, fast-forward to present day a former ‘Rugrats’ animator, Eric Molinsky, recently revealed what he thinks the show’s character would look like now.

Molinsky was a storyboard artist at the animation company responsible for Rugrats, Klasky Csupo, between 1999 and 2002.

Recently, he waded in on a debate about what the characters would look like in modern times. Arguing that many online fan fiction got things wrong. No, they wouldn’t be hipsters, they would actually look “lumpy.”

“It really bugs me — not the quality of the artwork, but the interpretation. We referred to them as lumpy babies for a reason,” he said.

“If we ever drew the Rugrats as being too cute, our executive producer would scold us,” he added.

“We were supposed to emulate the style of Eastern European animators — many of whom were brought over, with their sly wit and husky voices (they took a lot of smoke breaks.)”

Here are the “lumpy” looking people. Even Angelica, the brat of the group, couldn’t argue with that. Enjoy.
