Some Genius Hacked Amazon’s Alexa And Turned It Into Big Mouth Billy Bass [VIDEO]

The Future Is Already Here

Alexa is Amazon’s virtual personal assistant, that’s been around for a couple of years now, and it keeps getting smarter. Alexa can help you listen to tracks on Spotify, create to-do lists, shop, and even control your smart home products.

But, why settle for having your Alexa on the phone when you can have it in an animatronic?

A developer named Brian Kane hacked his Alexa to speak through his Big Mouth Billy Bass. Kane altered his Walmart’s classic fish, by transferring the Alexa software to the fish. And the result is just hilarious. Instead of signing “Take Me To The River” it talks and helps a lot more.

Kane said that this was made as part of a demo on rapid prototyping for his new AI design course at Rhode Island School Of Design, where he studies in the industrial design department.

He published the video on his Facebook account, and you can clearly see the animatronic fish responding to Alexa’s wake word and moving its mouth in sync with her commands. It’s funny though a bit weird, but mostly is amazing how this guy took his knowledge and curiosity to a new level and created this.

The future is already here. Way to go dude!
