Salvador Dalí’s Eccentric Cookbook Is Being Reissued for the First Time in Over 40 Years

This Is Really Surreal, It’s Food For God’s Sake

Surrealist art meets cuisine in Salvador Dalí’s cookbook first published in 1973 Les Diners de Gala is an exotic cookbook featuring Dalí’s intensely erotic paintings. Taschen is going to release the new book which will be officially released on November 20th, though you can pre-order it now.

The original book is so rare to come across that any of the 400 surviving copies, especially the ones signed, now cost a fortune. The book has a total of 12 chapters and 136 recipes that go from fish with vegetables to 1000-year-old eggs. The recipes were inspired by the legendary dinners that Dali and his wife Gala used to host. This is a prove of how versatile artist Dalí was.

Check a few of the amazing paints Dalí made for this erotic cookbook below.
