New Netflix Sci-Fi Series Looks Amazingly Promising

Prepare yourself for an unsettling feeling that won’t go away. Netflix released the trailer for a new series on Friday, and it’s a complete mystery! The entertainment giant sure knows how to get the attention, and after the trailer has definitely left us wanting more.

The OA is a drama and mystery series created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, the series will premiere on December 16 on Netflix. The first series will consist of episodes of an hour and will have a total of eight episodes. The main character is performed by Brit Marling. The co-stars are Emory Cohen, Scott Wilson, and Jason Isaacs.

The series follows a girl who after years missing, reappears and is a great mystery. When she disappeared she was blind, and now she has her sight restored. So she has to deal with many questions and issues regarding identity, human connection and life and death.

Reappearing.

After seven years missing Prairie Johnson reappears in her hometown. She’s in a hospital and an elder man and woman go to visit her. She’s pretty shocked about coming back to the community.

Remembering.

Once she reappears she’s checked by doctors and that’s when they notice that she’s not blind anymore. She starts having flashbacks of her life before going missing.

“I remember everything.”

Prairie seems to refuse to talk about the time she was missing but keeps saying she remembers it all. And you see scenes of her running and labs. You can even see her with other people.

What does she remember?

She seems to have been captive in a place, but the way she talks about it really leaves a bitter feeling. This thriller is promising for sure. I definitely want to know more.
