Forget about same old engagement pictures, this couple found the perfect photographer for their engagement photo shoot and the result is awesome! We’re used to same old engagement photographs featuring the couples somewhere sunny and looking at each other with googly eyes.
Well, this couple made a twist to that and are giving you new goals.The couple, Ash, and Nick made a movie-themed engagement session with photographer Nessa Kessinger, featuring some of their favorite movies and it’s just awesome.

Nick and Ash are getting married at a Maryland summer camp. And they’re really into a campy wedding, which led them to a cool idea.

They met Baltimore-based wedding photographer Nessa Kessinger and explained that they wanted to recreate scenes from their favorites movies and shows, and she was down to it.
Cool engagement session: Checked! Introducing Camp Halloween.
So, since they love camps so much and they’re actors, they all got to this idea of doing a camp themed inspired engagement session, and they call it Camp Halloween.
“Addams Family Values”
Nick and Ash are a couple of theatre-grads, so this photoshoot is truly an expression of themselves. And they nailed it!

Kessinger was more than glad of doing this photo shoot. She’s been working with couples for a while and she was used to couple always going in the same direction regarding what they want, and this was a totally new experience.
A true expression of themselves.
Nessa considers that Nick and Ash really gave it a thought to what they wanted for the photos, and they made an extra effort to show their essence in the photos, and to make it a personal experience.
“Wet Hot American Summer”
The couple chose to recreate scenes from their favorite movies and shows, “Addams Family Values”, “Wet Hot American Summer”, “Moonrise Kingdom”, “Stranger Things”, “Friday the 13th” and “Blair Witch Project.”

The summer’s hit couldn’t miss in this cool photo shoot. In this particular shoot, Ash ate so many waffles, she might be bored of them by now.

For Nick and Ash was a really cool experience doing these different characters, and you can see how glad they were since the work is so beautiful.
“Moonrise Kingdom”
This is the sweetest of the series, the movie shows a love story between two kids that’s awkward, funny, sincere and adorable, a perfect portrait of love.
Cute.
Nessa was really excited about this shoot, being Wes Anderson one of her favorite directors she enjoyed doing this one. And look at them!
“Friday the 13th.”
The couple had one thing clear, they wanted something different, creative and funny for their engagement photo session. They wanted to homage their favorite movies, which are mostly horror movies.
“Blair Witch Project”
And as you might have figured out by now, they’re huge fans of horror movies and Halloween.
Great job!
And such a great team too, Nick and Ash both have experience in directing and designing, so they helped out with the costumes, and were really involved in the project.
