What’s better than cuddling in a nice, cold, cozy night? The answer is simple: cuddling with a giant blanket.

Have you ever tried making your own blanket? It sounds pretty difficult, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. You can knit your own gigantic blanket in less than 4 hours. It’ll be fluffy and warm, but be cautious if you do so because you might never be able to leave your bed.
Laura Birek will teach you how to knit this enormous piece of perfection in 6 easy steps.
1. Start off by getting the perfect giant needles. They are about 1.5 inches long. Duck tape the tips.

2. Then choose your roving (be wise) – she uses brown sheep roving.

3. Tie about 28 knots which will make a pretty nice-sized blanket.

4. Start knitting as if you were using the regular-sized needles. Knit one, pearl two.

5. Every time you complete the 28 knots, pull the knitting down so that I’ll be even.

6. Repeat the process until the blanket is large enough.
