A Japanese photographer, Ken Ohki, found Osawano, Toyama and incredibly creepy place full of lifelike statues. The place called Fureai Sekibutsu no Sato, which translates into The Village Where You Can Meet Buddhist Statues has over 800 different statues.

Most of the statues are Buddhist deities.

The founder of the park thought it to be a touristic place where people could relax surrounded by a foggy and creepy scenery.

The founder Mutsuo Furukawa. He might had already turned to stone.

What if these statues are real people who relaxed way too much?

It’s a fact that the founder made statues of the people closer to him. He has admitted doing this.

Just relax, this is a quiet place.

What? Do you feel like being watched? What do you mean, no one’s watching?

Let’s talk about life as a stone.

Let’s meditate on it.

Rumor has it, if you blink, you turned to stone.

If you pass more than an hour wandering among the statues, you sure are turning to stone.

It’s all in the eye contact, once you look them straight in the eyes. You’re done.

So, you have a lot of faces to avoid.

This could be you. Pick a pose.
