Grandma Accidentally Texts Teen About Thanksgiving Plans And He’s Now Invited

Imagine having a complete stranger over dinner for Thanksgiving, well that’s about to happen to Grandma Wanda.

On Tuesday she invited Jamal Hinton over a mistaken text message  to have dinner at her house in Arizona and now they are making plans to meet.

This is Jamal Hinton, who accidentally got invited to the thanksgiving dinner.

It all started with Wanda sending a group text to her family members to invite them to dinner at her house.

She added 17-year-old Hinton’s number confusing it with her grandson’s. The Phoenix-based teenager received the text on his phone, confused with the plans that included Amanda and Justin, Hinton asked who these people were, to what Wanda responded “Your grandma”.

Justin believed it was her grandmother who set the text, but he asked for a picture anyway.

“I really thought it was my grandma so I had to ask for a picture to make sure,” he said.

Which turned ou to be a great idea because it wasn’t his grandmother.

Justin found the whole situation really funny

He informed the family about the mistake and took advantage of it by asking Wanda if he could attend to dinner after all. To what Wanda nicely responded yes.

The Amanda that Wanda referred to is her grandson’s girlfriend and she called the confusion “hysterical”.

The invitation is still up and Jamal now considers Wanda as a friend now.

Amanda said Jamal will be comfortable because Brandon’s (her boyfriend) family is amazing and “They adopt you into the family immediately”.

 But after all, Jamal will join the family “If I was invited to their Thanksgiving for real, yes, I would go,” he added.
