There is nothing cooler than spending time with your pet. And animals are some of the purest beings on this planet, and some of the most love giving. Since pets are really just another member of the family.
Between that lovely relationship with a pet and the family, no one is purest than a kid and its dog. Since they always form a dynamic duo in a way and have a bond so strong that really nothing can break it. That is why Russian photographer Andy Seliverstoff decided to elaborate a series called “Little Kids and Their Big Dogs.” To portrait the love between kids and their dogs, being the last one of his favorites subjects.

The 58 years old photographer spent about four months taking thousands of pictures in St Petersburg. Getting and compiling all the necessary pictures he needed for his book, that features the best images from the process.

Seliverstoff has been doing photography for years but had never taken it very seriously until now. As he has decided to unite two of his passions by creating this photo book and series about dogs. The series features several kinds of dogs but it emphasizes especially in Great Danes, but also includes Newfoundlands, and Black Russian Terriers.

And Andy has really taken this new hobby seriously, as he writes on his website: “I always take plenty of time with the dog who’s in front of my camera so I get to know the personality of my dog model the best I can. The personality and the character are unique for every individual dog. The human aspects we often recognize in our dogs are, among other things, what makes us feel so close to them. And it is this aspect I try to express in my photography.”
