Hipsters have become that obnoxious urban tribe of postmoderns knows-it.all. Who in their seek of nonconformism have changed many things. Especially something as sacred as food. As they have created many ridiculous trends.
In those nonsense things, they gave birth to some of the most unnecessary complex ways of serving and eating. Serving food in cleaning tools, skateboards, shoes, mice traps or, a personal rage motive, in a deconstructed way. So yeah, hipster food is ridiculous.
Deconstructing Australia.
Down under one of the most common snacks, that easily solves any hunger situation. It can be found at any point of daily life. As it just a loaf of white bread, with a barbecued sausage, caramelized onions and the sauce of your selection (mustard, ketchup or barbecue).
For many, it might sound awful to others delicious. The common point is that it is one of those “weird particular personal” mixes. That causes judgment between your friends.
Aussie judgment.
So when this typical delicious dish was deconstructed and turned into a “postmodern hipster” art piece almost all Australia snapped. People on skinny jeans damaged the iconic national symbol.
The picture of the hipster version of the sausage sandwich was posted by the guys of Melbourne Flames Rowing Club. The “deconstructed sausage sandwich” was served on a wooden board and put up for sale in front of the food chain Bunnings.

A bad joke.
According to one of the members of the Melbourne Flames Rowing Club, Rachel Kadziela it’s was all a joke. As she said that they were trying to draw attention to the club so people would join. Also trying to raise money to compete in a national tournament.
“We were in a hipster suburb in Melbourne when we were cooking the Bunnings sausage sizzle and one of our fellow paddlers, Tim, came up with the idea to make the deconstructed sandwich. We’re amused by people’s reactions. They’ve clearly missed the joke — as if we would ever mess with the sacred tradition that is the Bunnings sausage sizzle! We’ve been reading the comments and having a laugh. People are very passionate about their sausage sizzles,” she stated.
