The royal palace announced on Monday, Prince Harry is engaged to wed American actress Meghan Markle. The news comes after weeks of intense speculation over the couple’s plans.
The couple will marry in spring 2018. According to the palace, they’ll have several options for the big day. Congratulations for the happy couple!

The Kensington Palace made an official upcoming nuptial announcement on Monday. The fifth in line to the throne, Prince Harry, will marry girlfriend Meghan Markle.
Following the announcement, the couple posed for photographs outside the royal family hose in London and looked adorable.
Harry and Meghan met in 2016 through mutual friends and began dating in July of the same year.
The duo went on two back-to-back dates in London. A few weeks after they first met they traveled to Botswana for five days.
“We camped out with each other under the stars,” he said.
“Then we were really by ourselves. Which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to get to know each other.”
They confirmed their relationship in November 2016 through a Kensington Palace statement. The castle called out the media for subjecting her to a “wave of abuse and harassment”.
Their married home will be the prince’s current residence, Nottingham Cottage, on the grounds of Kensington Palace. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, also have an apartment.
Beautiful detail
The couple delivered their first joint television interview on Monday following their engagement announcement. In the interview, Harry revealed a beautiful touch he gave to Meghan’s engagement ring.
“The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s (Markle’s) favorite. The main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, ” he started off.
“And the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together,” he said.
Harry shared that he imagined his mother would be “over the moon, jumping up and down, you know so excited for me, but then, as I said, would have probably been best friends — best friends with Meghan.”
Harry went emotional while talking about the ring and the exciting moment.He added that the engagement hubbub made him miss his mother even more.
“It is days like today when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news, he said. “But you know with the ring and with everything else that’s going on I’m sure she’s …”
“She’s with us,” said Markle.
“I’m sure she’s with us. Yeah, you know, jumping up and down somewhere else,” concluded Harry.
