Woman Quits Stressful City Job To Raise Special Needs Baby Goats, Loves Every Minute Of It

Sometimes our stress hit levels so high that we just wanna throw everything away and start a new life. That’s exactly what happened to Leanne Lauricella, a woman who quit her job and created a sanctuary for baby goats.

On 2014 she visited a farm and fell for baby goats, leading her to establish her own farm, Goats Of Anarchy. The organization takes care of goats in need, disabled and orphaned goats.

She was based in New York and had an amazing career.

“I had a great job… but the commute was awful, the stress level was high… I was feeling completely unfulfilled and I knew there had to be something more.” Leanne told Cosmopolitan.

The experience at the farm changed her life.

“It was clear that this was the lifestyle that I wanted… I decided to trade in the high heels for muck boots and my Mercedes for a classic Chevy pickup”

At her first day of unemployment Lauricella had a sign.

She shared her post on Instagram and gained 30,000 followers “I took this as a sign that I was on the right track.”

She has been criticized for quitting her job.

“Some people have called me foolish or irresponsible for quitting my job without a plan, but for me, it was a leap of faith,” Leanne said, “When you find and follow your passion, all of the silly things you thought were important, don’t seem so important anymore” continued.

Her perspective on life took a huge turn.

She doesn’t focus on the banal things in life, her mind is on taking care of rescued, disabled, and orphaned baby goats. The woman even adopted a mini horse, a mini donkey, two bunnies, and a pig.
