This Real-Life Flintstone House Will Make You Go ‘Yabba Dabba Doo’

It’s Out Of The Ordinary, That’s For Sure..

Remember the Flintstones? The family that lived in the stone age and wore animal’s fur as dresses. Remember their house and the funny shape it had? Well, I always thought it was kinda cool, apparently, a couple from Hillsborough, California thought the same thing and decided to style their house like the famous cartoon.

Yep, a couple invested in customizing their home like the popular cartoon “The Flintstones” and the result is weirdly cool. Honestly, the outside is too colorful for me, but I think the inside is awesome. And definitely, the house is a way to kill the curiosity and find out how it would be to live in the stone age. Well, with modern appliances.

The thing is that the family now wants to sell the house, but they don’t find a buyer, so they came up with an idea to make some money out of the attractive house, check it!

From afar it makes us doubt about it

But once you see it well, then you know that the house is nothing like anything you’ve seen before.

The colors immediately make you think of the cartoon

When it was first constructed, it was white, but now it has a strong orange and purple.

This style required a lot of research

Yep, giving the house this kinda prehistoric look involved applying shotcrete to the steel rebar structures and a number of mesh frames that were held in place by inflated balloons. Work, work, work.

It’s exactly like the house of “The Flintstones”

Everything about it seems like a live-action version of the cartoon, the doors, the windows, even the chimney!

But the inside is quite different from the outside

The inside is a bit more modern, and of course, has unique work of art that expresses the personality of the owners.

And as you keep walking, the house stops matching the outside

It’s like a mixture of Navajo style, prehistory and modern

Nonstandard ceilings

As you can see the ceilings are not flat, they’re curved and look at the details of the lighting, partially hidden on the slits of walls.

This place belonged to a Disney theme park!

Well, at least now it looks neat! Back in the 80s, the house was in a serious state of disrepair.

You might think “Oh, but look at it! I couldn’t be that bad”

But it was, the foundation was damaged due to water runoff from a nearby mountain, which made it necessary to repair the home. Luckily, the transformation was for better and now is this awesome place.

But not everybody thinks this house is cool

Some people think this is beastly, because of the experimental design.

Critics have increased since the owners acquired it in 1996

They have invested $800,000 in it, and of course, the house has attracted many people and also has been criticized.

You can also spend the night in the house

The owners have turned it into an Airbnb, and it will only cost $750 a night, so you can still enjoy it if you’re curious about how living in this unique and weird little home would be, and you don’t have millions to spare.
