Calvin Harris and Katy Perry Throw Shade At Taylor Swift Collaborating On A New Song

This May Spark The Feud Back Again

Calvin Harris took Instagram on Tuesday, to post some information on his forthcoming album. Which includes a collaboration with no other than his ex’s Taylor Swift frenemy, Katy Perry.

The DJ anticipated album will come out later this year, as well as Perry’s. If there wasn’t bad blood, I bet it will now be.

Interesting news

In January, Harris teased fans with the fact that he’d release 10 new songs in 2017. Then in February, we heard Slide, the collaboration with Migos and Frank Ocean, and we got a first taste of what’s to come.

Now, he delivered just another news. Calvin Harris took to Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday to make a big announcement for his fans.

The producer, singer, and DJ revealed the name of the anticipated album and graced us with the release date, June 30. The project is his first full-length album since 2014’s Motion.

But that was not it. Harris shared a video clip of all the artist featured on his upcoming project. The brand-new album titled Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 will be the soundtrack of our summer with a pretty much the A-list of collaborators.

The crazy talented musicians include Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, and, oh, yes, Katy Perry.

Potential shade throwing from Harris and Perry

These names are some of the biggest recording artists of 2017, so it’s no surprise Katy would be featured in on of Harris’ songs. Like, why not?

There’s also the fact that Katy and Calvin have been friends for years. Just remember that friendly hang out with Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora at the MTV EMA  in 2013. The music industry might be a small place after all.

However, some fans found suspicious Harris and Perry collaboration, as the news pops out just after Katy gave her most direct answer regarding the on-going feud.

On Monday, the singer discussed with Entertainment Weekly about Taylor Swift‘s Bad Blood song. Even when she said that she was not the one to answer whether the song was or wasn’t about her, she did say something about action and reaction.

She said, “One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story. But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, OK, honey.”

This bounds to keep on going, Tay-Tay is not just dropping it. And since she’s focused on writing her forthcoming album, she probably is inspired by now.
