Anna Faris has reportedly moved on from ex Chris Pratt and has a new beau. The actress has been seen several times with filmmaker Michael Barrett in the last month. More recently, they were spotted during a date along with her son Jack.
Anna is set to release her upcoming memoir, ‘Unqualified,’ in which she reveals Jack’s health struggle and opens up about her life. Her comic memoir ‘Unqualified’ is coming out October 24.
A new beau in Anna’s life
Anna Faris was spotted with reported beau Michael Barrett, during a carnival date. The pair was accompanied by Faris’ five-year-old son, Jack. This is not the first time the couple is spotted, they were previously seen at a seafood restaurant and hanging out in Malibu.
The pair met during the filming of ‘Overboard,’ which was directed by Barrett and stars Faris. While they were not romantically linked during the production seems they’re out and about. Barrett’s credits include ‘Ted,’ ‘Ted 2’ and ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West,’ as well as television work on ‘CSI’ and ‘CSI: Miami.’
Last August, Faris and Chris Pratt announced they were splitting. The news took fans hard, since the pair was considered a power couple and one of the most beloved ones. They took to social media to post a coordinated note saying they were separating after 8 years of marriage.
“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” they wrote. “We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
And it seems to be true since they still clearly care for each other very much. Still adorable, these two. Pratt praised her appearance at the 2017 Emmy awards, and earlier this week, Faris insisted that she and Pratt were still “incredible friends.”
“We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up — unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter,” she told People.
Revealing Jack’s health battle
In her upcoming memoir ‘Unqualified,’ Anna opens up about Jack’s birth and “emotionally exhausting” weeks that followed, in which she and former hubby Chris Pratt come to terms with shocking news.
“The pediatric neurosurgeon sat Chris and me down to tell us that Jack had some severe brain bleeding and there was a chance that he could be developmentally disabled,” writes Faris. “I was in complete shock…So Chris and I did what we could, which was hands and hope and face it together,” she added.
Jack is now a healthy happy boy, but he was several weeks premature.
