After Trump’s election, a video of his granddaughter reciting poems in Mandarin has gone viral this week. The video posted earlier by his daughter Ivanka Trump, shows Arabella reciting poems for Chinese New Year, and people went crazy. She is the eldest daughter of Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner. The 5-year-old adorably recites the poem “Sympathy for the Peasants.”
The little girl recites a poem by a famous poet named Li Shen.
In the video, Arabella is wearing traditional clothes to celebrate Chinese New Year, and the poem she recites is part of the Chinese elementary curriculum. It describes the hardships farmers go through in order to put rice on people’s plates.
The video went viral just after Trump’s election.
The Global Times reposted it on Weibo just after Trump won the election. The video caption announced Trump as the 45th elected president of the US and said: “During the race, Trump didn’t seem to be overly friendly towards China, but his 4-year-old granddaughter Arabella has been able to speak Mandarin Chinese from when she was young! Let’s watch together.”
And people are crazy in love with her and impressed by her skills.
“I want to squeeze and hug her.”
“Nice.”
“Reciting poems…I Can’t hold it anymore…SO CUTE!”
“Trump’s granddaughter is welcome to come to China to learn Chinese.”
And jokes started cracking about the elected president…
“He got his granddaughter to learn Chinese to find out whether Chinese people are badmouthing him.”
“To defeat your enemy, you must understand them. Trump’s won”.
And now Ivanka’s Instagram video is flooded by Chinese users.
Luckily Arabella can translate the comments.
“Little Arabella has pretty much won everyone’s hearts.”
“Amazing.”
And now another video of Arabella is going viral.
In this one, she recites a children’s song called “The Little Rabbit Is So White.” She even bounces like a bunny.
