Taylor Swift sent a lucky fan a very unexpected gift after her college graduation in Florida. We wonder if Taylor can get any sweeter than this.
Ashley Silvers, a University of Central Florida advertising graduate, who’s headed to Fordham University for business school, according to her Instagram, sent the singer an invitation to her graduation party – because you never know…
As expected, Swift couldn’t attend – but she made up for it, sending the fan a thoughtful note, along with a bouquet of flowers.

The card Swift sent is a beautiful, supportive message for the new grad: “Hi love, I’m so sad that I can’t make it to your graduation party! The New York theme, the photo booth, it being on the 13th… that’s my kind of party. I’m so proud of you, your hard work and dedication, your excitement and ambition. I’m very lucky that a girl like you cares about me. Sending you my love and hugs (and to your family!),” the card reads. The singer embellished the letter with a doodle of Silvers living it up in New York City.
This is not the first time Swift gives a fan a surprise
It’s not news for anyone that Swift has a deep and grateful connection with her fans. She has demonstrated how committed she is to them and always tries to make space to reach the luckiest ones. Like that time she “crashed” the wedding of longtime fan Max Singer to perform for him and his new wife. She sang “Blank Space,” since it was the song Singer used to dance with her mom before she passed away, according to his sister, who reached out to the artist.
Or that time she was in Australia and made a stop at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane to do selfie photo shoots with the patients. And let’s not forget that time she danced to “Shake It Off” along with Dylan, a 7-year-old Swiftie who’s video dancing to the singer’s megahit went viral – ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ kind of viral.
The singer has been very busy writing new music
Swift has been away from social media for some months now. She hasn’t tweeted since January and took her Instagram only to promote new music from friends like HAIM and Lorde. Ever since her performance at a pre-Super Bowl party back in February, she has gone totally underground.
“Taylor made the conscious choice to disappear,” said a source. “She was feeling overexposed and like things were almost spiraling out of control. She’s being low-key and secretive [right now] because it makes her happy.”
After her hit song “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”, which features Zayn Malik, for the ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ soundtrack, she went back on the road of writing new music. “She’s very excited about her new album,” added the source. “She can’t wait to share with her fans later this year.”
