But as time goes by we have been getting closer, even though it’s in a slow way, to reach more in outer space. That’s the mission of Elon Musk’s SpaceX. A millionaire and ambitious company that wants us humans to become an interplanetary species.

Walking on the moon.

In their search of conquering the space, SpaceX has announced an amazing yet ambitious project. Besides the habitation of Mars. Elon Musk announced that they’re planning to send two persons around the moon.

These passengers will not land on the moon, to break the Méliès fantasy for many. But they will go practically further than those on Apollo 17 since they will fly around the satellite. The identity of the two space voyagers is unknown. But these persons have paid heavily for the privilege of fly to outer space and know each other.

The trip details.

Despite the unknown identity of the space travelers, since they asked the company to keep their identities secret. They will receive the adequate training to be in space. “We expect to conduct health and fitness tests, as well as begin initial training later this year,” SpaceX stated. This is expected to be the first of many space travelers to come in the future by SpaceX.

The duration of the space trip is estimated to last a week. As the company is planning to use its Falcon Heavy rocket and crewed Dragon spacecraft to achieve it. Also, there is no specific date to the voyage but the goal of SpaceX is to launch throughout the next year.

Even though the achieving of flying around the moon is already something that will pass to history. SpaceX is planning to launch the rocket, the Falcon Heavy, that will do so on the iconic Kennedy Space Center, in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Also, this will be the first time someone goes to the moon since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. As it marks the last time humans flew to deep space, that means over 45 years if they succeed. If SpaceX succeeds at this we can assure that there will be more flights and missions to the moon.
