There is nothing more adorable, fluffier than puppies. Puppies are a synonym of happiness. They can draw a smile on everyone at any point of the day. That is something that this veteran lived and learned from first hand.

A U.S. Marino Corps veteran named Peter Coukoulis came home to Tallahassee, FL, three years ago. But as for many military men, his return to civil life wasn’t that simple. He began struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Side effects of PTSD can include anxiety, depression, flashbacks, insomnia and/or isolation.

Christmas change.

After watching her son 26 years old son struggle with PTSD, Coukoulis’ mother Dena came up with an amazing plan to help him.

She got a beagle puppy for her son, knowing the little furry friend would help her son’s treatment and fight for inner peace.

Operation-Pup.

So a few weeks before Christmas Dane gathered the whole family around him at the kitchen table and handed him a wrapped box with a big red bow. When he opened it and saw the little puppy he broke into tears. As the puppy knowing her mission repeatedly kissed Peter’s face.

Dena told Caters News Agency: “The puppy has already changed Peter’s life; it has made him happy after a very difficult three years.”
