The Slow Mo Guys Did Football vs Face On Their Latest Video

For some reason, things in slow motion look cool. We constantly see this on movies and TV shows. Even the guys from The Lonely Islands have a song talking about how “cool guys don’t look at explosion” in slow motion.

And now it seems youtube is developing a new taste for the camera effect. Since videos of people doing every kind of dumb stuff are getting viral. But we must admit it some of them are impressive.

The SlowMo Guys.

This YouTubers have a good camera and a lot of free time. And as they even say they think everything in slow motion looks cooler, even the simpler things in life. They have an entire channel dedicated to doing things that without the slow motion feature wouldn’t look like amazing stunts.

The setup.

In this occasion, the SlowMo Guys decided to do something every sportsman has had to face at some point in life. Being hit with a ba ll in the face. Something very common in any playground as well. Also, we appreciate the “professionalism and formality” they’re trying to give to their videos with those lab robes.

They attempt to see how this common playground phenomenon would look in slow motion. Hoping it would look at least awesome, to give it a bright side. They first filled the ball with water and then the hit came.

Not satisfied with the result, the Slow Mo Guys decided to take a second shot. Trying to catch the smashing moment with the eyes open. And they succeed. After the moment was on tape they did what every mature person would do: rewind it over and over.

The coolest effect.

Even though the video is pretty funny and dumb, the best thing of the whole video is to see how the face of the guy gets moved and all liquid. Maybe is the “keep it simple” style what makes it so amazing.
