On Tuesday, Kristen Bell and James Corden delivered a hilarious aerial rendition of Up Where We Belong in which they were lifted up by the power of love, they didn’t make it up, tho. Technical issues came in the way of love this time. No worries tho, according to James they could fix it in the post production. The actress was on The Late Late Show promoting her new film CHIPS and decided to grace us with her beautiful voice.
Up Where We Belong.
Kristen Bell and the host were physically moved by the power of love only they didn’t make it to the same level. The duo sang a beautiful rendition of the classic song as they struggle to grab at their partners and level. The hilarious video already has over 600k views on Youtube.
Taking back a beautiful song.
Kristen Bell and James Corden took of Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes’ duet Up Where We Belong on Tuesday. Since this song can lift us up the host and the singer decided to do it literally.
Moved by the power of love the duo began rising in an aerial performance while singing the love song. They began on the stage declaring their love for each other and then began singing.
Lifted by the power of love.
As they were lifted by the power of love they were also lifted from the stage, only they rarely made it to the same spot. While James was up, Kristen was half way and vice-versa.
But the production mistake and physical difference weren’t enough to separate them and they continued singing the song.
Up and down, and so on.
It was really hilarious watching them going up and down and trying to grab the other to level and failing in the attempts. Corden definitely knows how to turn every situation into a comedic one and this fake production error was no exception.
At the end of the performance, James said, “Who is responsible for this? We rehearsed it and rehearsed it and rehearsed it! Yeah, right … well, that was that. Fix it in post!”
Battling crime, somehow.
Kristen was in the show not only to grace us with her voice, the Frozen actress was promoting her new comedy movie CHIPS. Which is full of car chases, dirty jokes, and explosions and is a reboot of the 70s television series by the same name, in which two California Highway Patrol officers fight crime.
The movie stars Dax Shepard, Michael Peña, Adam Brody, Kristen Bell and Maya Rudolph. It was written and directed by Shepard who wrote Bell’s role expressly for her, “I had one goal [in writing this]. Kristen’s never been unlikeable: I’m going to try to make her unlikeable,” he joked.
