Animals are one of the cutest things in the world. That why having them as pets is so awesome. That and also because they give us unconditional love and hundreds of hours of fun. But for those animals who don’t have the luck of having human care and home, IKEA has come up with an incredible solution for now.

The guys from IKEA know the hard the work some furry friends go through. They decided to donate a special set of beds to a shelter on Canada. To help some of the kitties that they’ve in there.

A warm bed in a freezing weather

The streets can be really cold for anyone, and particularly for defenceless animals.  Especially in Canada where snow and low temperatures are something usual. But now the Etobicoke Humane Society in Ontario, an animal shelter, has improved their facilities thanks to IKEA. As they’ve helped to turn them into a way more comfortable place for our furry friends. Since the Sweden-native furniture store has donated 10 doll beds along $300 donation to help the shelter’s adorable and admirable cause.

Even though IKEA sells many types of furniture, they don’t count with pet ones on their catalogues. But after a cat-owners, especially in Japan, discovered that the Duktig beds work for their feline buddies and took adorable pictures of them in a cosier way, the idea became popular. As who wouldn’t like to watch kittens warm and comfortable?

The beautiful initiative

Something that even the volunteers at the Etobicoke Humane Society agree on. As they posted adorable pictures of the kitties with their new beds with a thank you note and video on Tuesday. “Our floors are easy to clean but not terribly comfortable to lay on. Now cats like Catsby and Frankie have beds of their own to curl up in.”

Due to the fact that the shelter works as a non-profit organization this kind of luxuries are hard for them to get on their own. Making the IKEA donation even a more beautiful gesture, since they did it just because. Also, this is such a good and tender idea than even the furniture company recently posted a picture of the double decker version of their Duktig Doll Bed with a cat, on top, and a pug , on bottom, resting on it

Can a dog and a cat be bunk bed mates? Seems so! They look pretty happy in the double decker DUKTIG toy bed.
