Music has always been a powerful media to express people’s mind. It has happened through history as a way of rebellion, take Woodstock for example. And it has been a way for everyone to say what they think.
The case of punk rock is no different, on contrary, it’s more rebellion, aggressive and straight forward (ways of saying things). It’s been a long history of punk bands giving the middle finger to anything that they disagree. Especially when it comes to politics, for what punk rockers have very little tolerance. And Green Day are not the exception to the rule.

Last night at the 2016 AMA Awards Pop-Punk legends Green day performed.
Adding some speed tempos and edgy distorted guitars to the award ceremony.
They played their single Bang Bang! from their new Cd Revolution Radio.
Wich portraits this generation’s angst and struggles, in compare to their fathers and grandfathers. In a cynical and sarcastic way, obviously.
The band had warned people in social media to watch their performance in the awards.
Because they had something very special prepared for it. And man wasn’t it special.
During the song frontman, Billy Joe Armstrong started chanting against newly elected president Trump
Singing, along with the audience No Trump!, No KKK!, No fascist USA!.
The new American Idiot?
The band has stated in continuous opportunities how much disgust they feel toward Trump, especially due to his xenophobic speech.
The internet didn’t take long to react.
Turning this punk rockers in their new heroes.
i can’t wait to see trump lose it on twitter tomorrow because of this pic.twitter.com/oZPHkXllKl
