Aaron Carter was arrested in Georgia on Saturday. The singer is facing several misdemeanor charges that include, DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects
Aaron was on the road to promote his new single ‘Sooner or Later’ and was set to perform with Flo Rida at Kansas City Live! on Saturday night.

Authorities confirmed Carter and his girlfriend, Madison Parker, have been arrested on DUI and drug related charges in Habersham County, Georgia.Carter’s bail was set at $4,610, while Parker’s was set at $4,360. Carter was released on Sunday afternoon, a police spokesperson said.
Regarding the charges of possession of marijuana and drug related objects, the singer’s manager assured, “Aaron holds a medical license for medical marijuana for his long standing anxiety.” questioning the way police treated the singer via statements on Sunday.
According to the statements, the artist had a problem with a new put tire. “Aaron drove the vehicle to the nearest Auto Zone in Cornelia, Georgia,” the rep stated. “After being at the store and requesting help to get his alignment fixed, he was arrested inside by several police officers with aggression. The police also revoked his rights to have an attorney.”
Madison Parker, who is Aaron’s girlfriend, was a passenger in the vehicle with the singer when police arrested him. She was also arrested for obstruction of law enforcement officers, possession of marijuana less than once ounce, and possession of drug related objects.
Aaron had a concert with Flo Rida scheduled at Kansas City Live! in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, and an appearance scheduled in the same city on Sunday.
The Child Star is no stranger to drug use
Carter had previously been arrested for possession. The singer was found with at least two ounces of marijuana in 2008, Texas. Two years later, he spent a month in rehab at the famous ‘Betty Ford’ center to treat his addiction issues.
“I ended up going to the Betty Ford Center, you know, to go and just like take a break and try to just like, you know, figure out how to get myself healthy and together.”
The child star has suffered with drug-relaed issues for a long time.
“I was introduced to a lot of different things at a very early age,” Aaron told E! News several years ago. “Marijuana, that was mostly the problem.” At age 15, Carter was faced with someof photos of him smoking pot were published in The National Enquirer.
“There was a picture that leaked from one of my best friends of me smoking weed and it was on the front cover of The National Enquirer and it damn near ruined my career,” he said.
