Telegram Messenger Launches Voice Chats 2.0 Update with Other Features on Steroids

Telegram Messenger has launched a next big feature to recent updates made three weeks ago. The latest innovation is the Voice Chat 2.0 feature which the developers said chats on steroids and many reviewers have endorsed.

Telegram groups got voice chat capability in December 2020; but with the latest Voice Chat 2.0 update, users can create chats in channels while a limitless number of listeners have been activated. The number of users in groups for voice chats is now unlimited, and they can even record chats and save them for podcasts. Furthermore, group participants can signify to be part of a discussion by raising their hands while designated speakers with existing channels can join chats.

As if that is not enough, event organizers and public group administrators can create links to be used for invitation purposes if anyone is to be invited to voice chat. In fact, an organizer can create one link for speakers and another link for listeners.

Part of the new update enables users to undo any message or chat they forward mistakenly to others, and chat participants can reactivate long voice messages if they had earlier broken off on them. It is also possible for different chats to be chosen after initiating a particular chat.

Telegram’s founder, Pavel Durov, said Android users may update their messenger to acquire the latest Voice Chat 2.0 update while iPhone and iPad users will hold on for some hours to update their apps because of a technical issue with Apple. The former member of Vkontakte stated that users can create individual radio stations and obtain video broadcast functions with ease. This is expected to be ready in the spring of this year.

To further expand the growth of the messaging app, Durov said Telegram would want to raise a minimum of $1 billion via convertible bonds that will not be available on the stock exchange. Investors from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East will be able to buy into the company, but not investors from the United States.

The Telegram founded revealed that he launched the app in 2013 with his personal money but would now like to monetize the app through adverts in bigger channels. He said he does not nurse any hopes of selling off the app, but will welcome investors with up to $50 million into the business.
