Johnny Depp is the ultimate surprise visitor. On Wednesday, visitors to Disneyland in California were graced with the visit of the one and only Cap. Jack Sparrow.
Johnny Depp appeared in costume and with iconic his British slur at the theme park of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Videos and pictures of Depp flooded social media.
The good old Cap. Jack Sparrow.
Johnny Depp decided not to make his fans wait for the upcoming movie of the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise and showed up to fans’ delight. He’s the master of the surprise appearances. He’s known for taking his Jack costume and showing up at schools and hospital on and off filming dates.
The actor showed up in character, on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at the Disneyland Resort in California. Fans couldn’t believe the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow was there chatting and wielding his sword as he recited some lines of the long-running movie franchise.
The appearance came as the ride celebrates its 50th anniversary and just ahead of the May 26 release date for the fifth instalment of the movies. The new movie brings the return of original cast members, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, as we explore part of Jack’s past.
Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the highest grossing franchises of all time. This new movie marks what director Joachim Rønning called the beginning of the final adventure. Meaning that a next film will come and we still have more of the Caribbean adventures to see!

Battling accusations.
The pop-up appearance also comes a day after his battle with his former management company gets public once more. The actor and his former management company, Management Group, have had a feud over his finances. In January, the actor filed a $25 million lawsuit alleging fraud and damages against his former business managers. While he claims that they took tens of millions over more than a decade. On the other hand, the company claimed Depp refused to reign in his voracious spending.
This week Depp told the Wall Street Journal, “Why didn’t they drop me as a client if I was so out of control?” Then on Tuesday, avid Shane, Management Group’s spokesman claimed that the actor “is a habitual liar who denies responsibility for his own outrageous conduct” and “has himself to blame for his financial woes.” Which sounds kinda Jack Sparrow-ish.
