U.K's Red Nose Day Did An Opening With A Parody Of La La Land And They Nailed It

The world has really some messed up situations. But there are always people and good initiatives that are willing to give a helping hand. Restoring our faith in humanity. As they raise awareness and give solutions to those problems in creative ways.

U.K.’s Red Nose Day is for sure one of those creative initiatives that over the years have helped millions. The fundraising campaign is part of the non-profit organization Comic Relief Inc. Since they thought that comedians and celebrities together could help the world become a better place.

Ha Ha Land

The popular British telethon has become a mass phenomenon. The charity foundation has raised over $1 billion globally through the last 25 years. Helping many countries, especially in East Africa, and expanding to help poverty and children in the U.S. on 2015.

This year the guys from Red Nose decided to use the popularity of “La La Land,” to create their opening. As they made a parody of the movies opening highway traffic scene featuring many of the guest stars of the night.

Dorky dancing

The video of “Ha Ha Land” begins with comedian and Comic Relief charity co-founder Lenny Henry. As he performs, and many of the featuring celebrities pop up in the video, he invites the audience “To chill out, relax, and give some cash.”

The video turned into a medley for a few seconds as they start singing Gangnam Style. Something that really took many of us by surprise. The special was aired on Friday, March 24th in the U.K., but for the American case, it will have to wait until May 25th. and watch “The Red Nose Day Special.”

Good for everybody

This year the Red Nose Day raised £71 million for their beautiful cause. This year’s edition also counted with many special things. Like a “Love Actually” 10-minute sequel and reunion. Also, James Corden did a special edition of the Car-Pool Karaoke for the occasion.

Along with that Ed Sheeran did a special appearance, between many other celebrities like Graham Norton, Russell Brand, Emeli Sande, Romesh Ranganathan who decided to help. During the show, Sir Lenny Henry took a minute to paid tribute to the victims of the Westminister attack.
