Sharon Osbourne Reveals She and Her Husband Were Victims of Credit Card Fraud

Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she and her husband were recent victims of credit card fraud. She made this revelation during her talk show The Talk which aired on CBS.

Osbourne, 68, said she went to a store to get her daughter a gift for her 36th birthday, and the store clerk issued her additional charges not approved by her. She said her credit card was rejected on two occasions. She then offered the store clerk that of her husband, yet the same drama played out – her credit card and that of her husband had been maxed out.

Osbourne said she put a call across to the credit company and was told they’d been maxed out and so no further transactions can be done with them. She did not disclose the name of the store where this incident happened.

“It’s my Kelly’s birthday today, I went out last night to pick up her gift,” Osbourne explained. “I give my credit card, and they come back and say, ‘Do you have another credit card? It didn’t go through.’ I say, ‘Just try it again’…still didn’t go through. I hand them Ozzy’s; then, they come back and go, ‘Do you have another one? It didn’t go through.”’

However, she said the credit card company was working things out, and she was able to find another means to get her daughter a birthday gift.

Speaking during Tuesday’s episode of the show with co-hosts Eve and Sheryl Underwood, Osbourne talked about how thieves burglarized the set of Conan O’Brien. She described the event as very unfortunate. She said he was trying his best to offer the audience some form of reprieve through entertainment during these uncertain times, and burglars thought it wise to prevent him from doing so through acts of burglaries. She concluded that it was very wrong of the perpetrators.

Conan O’Brien, 57, had been recording his show at the Coronet nightclub. He chose the venue as a way of helping entertainment venues that had been severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. He revealed that someone broke into the theater and stole some of their equipment, including laptops used to conduct Zoom interviews.

Osbourne also went on to share her recent experience on the show among other things that related to her job and family.
