Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Arrested For Felony Domestic Violence While Out On Probation

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Arrested For Felony Domestic Violence While Out On Probation

Actor Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence on Thursday. The 35-year-old Jersey Shore star was picked up in his white Mercedez Benz car at the Playa del Rey area of Los Angeles while on probation from a 2019 domestic violence case.

In 2019, Ronnie was arrested in connection with a domestic violence charge against his former wife, Jenn Harley. He pleaded guilty to the charge and to resisting arrest but was granted 36 months of probation as part of a plea deal to avoid a jail sentence. Getting arrested again for domestic violence would surely invalidate his probation and rake up serious legal troubles for him.

An inside source revealed that Jenn was not involved in the recent battery case and was actually in Las Vegas when Ronnie was busted. Sources said Ronnie was taking care of Ariana, his daughter with Jenn, when the assault and subsequent arrest took place. Little Ariana was deposited with Ronnie’s brother when the incident happened and that Jenn had returned to retrieve her, TMZ reports.

Ronnie’s lawyers, Scott E. Leemon and Leonard Levine, said they need more time to study the case and respond to it since they were just learning of the incident. “We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate,” they said. “As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.”

However, he was released on Thursday evening after posting a $100,000 bail, police sources disclosed. Although the terms for his release were not stated, it is possible that law enforcement will continue to investigate the case.
