English Man Confuses Red Hot Chili Peppers With A Bagpipe Band

The Mistake Turned Out To Be Hilarious

A Red Hot Chilli Peppers fan though he got a GREAT bargain to see the band in Belfast, but things turned out a little different.

Duncan Robb and his girlfriend are the protagonists of this journey. They flew to Belfast to see this American band rock on stage but they made a small mistake. They bought tickets for “the best band of bagpipes” RED HOT CHILLI PIPERS!

The funny confusion

This Derbyshire fan got these tickets at a price of £30 for the SSE Arena. The tickets were the perfect Christmas gift. A trip to Ireland, a small vacation to see your favorite band with your girlfriend, what could be better? But the weekend turned out a little different. A silly mistake that became a viral internet story.

Robb wrote on Twitter “Still cannot believe we’ve flown over to Belfast, not for the Chili Peppers but to see the ‘worlds best bagpipe band’ Chilli Pipers … thought I’d got a good rate on tickets n’all.”

A nightmare!

Robb tells the whole process: “When I clicked on and got tickets in row Q and for £ 30 each I thought ‘what a bargain’, there must be many tickets left and snatched them up straight away.”

“Also I saw the date was February 10th, so I could make it into Valentine’s Day weekend – kill two birds with one stone.”

“Fast forward to a month and we get the current tickets through the post. Brilliant!

“They went on the board, nobody had noticed my mistake yet. It was only until the previous Wednesday when my girlfriend wanted to know who was supporting them. She could not find anything about the Red Hot Chili Peppers performing in Belfast. “

Despite this error, the couple went ahead with the trip, taking it as “An experience”

They were so enthusiastic that they went to the trouble of buying T-shirts. The surprise in the middle of the concert was amazing.

“I just had to laugh at that. What else was there to do?” Duncan said. “Fortunately we can see the real Chili Peppers in the future.”

Red Hot Chilli Peppers agent, Douglas Gillespie, told Newsweek that this was not the first time someone confused the band of bagpipes with the rock band.

We are always extremely careful with all advertising, said Gillespie.” We have made sure to put kits and bagpipes on all the images. We would never try to pass ourselves off as Red Hot Chili Peppers, we respect them too much. “
