Mark Wahlberg was on Ellen to promote his new movie “Patriots Day.” The pair didn’t miss the opportunity to discuss other issues, such as his daughter and a mysterious dinner guest.
Ellen, who was incredibly intrigued by Mark’s mysterious dinner guest defended her theory it was Justin Bieber till the end. They talked about a Canadian young singer…so, was it JB?
Mysterious dinner guest.
While discussing issues such as kids these days and what’s like to be raising a teenager, Ellen couldn’t help but obsess about Mark’s mysterious dinner guest. The actor who didn’t specify the name of his friend guest laughed at Ellen’s curiosity.
Raising a teenager.
Mark’s oldest daughter, Ella, is thirteen-years-old and is just both funny and adorable to hear him talk about the difficulties of raising a teenager. The actor says she’s a good girl, but that she’s a girl so there’s a difference (oh, ok). Mark seems to be facing the rebel part of his daughter teen years, who dyes her hair blue and wears fake nose earrings and has an addiction to Musically.
Musically thing outta control.
Mark thinks his daughter is taking the Musically fever way too far since she keeps recording herself at all times. She does it even when they’re having dinner with the mysterious dinner guest, who Ellen strongly believes is Justin Bieber.
Mysterious Canadian fella.
Mark, who didn’t want to say who the guest was, only gave clues saying that he was a young man, really successful, very nice gentleman. Ellen was determined to believe it was JB, since Mark also said that his friend was turned out for a while, even for his daughter, and then came back for good. Naturally, Ellen got suspicious about this dinner with a successful singer, but Mark immediately made clear that he was not going back to the music biz.
Patriots Day.
Then Ellen and Mark discussed his upcoming movie. Patriots Day who tells the story of the Boston shooting a few years back. Mark, who’s a Bostonian says how proud he felt for being part of a community who constantly redefine the term hero. He also talks about how this terrible tragedy inspired and brought positivity and resilience. He emphasized the fact that in a world where bad things happen, good will always win and will conquer.
