Mariah Carey closed 2016 with a performance worthy of the year. The diva who’s the queen of the holidays was set to perform at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Secrest at Times Square, minutes before the end of the year and she gave the most despicable show.
The singer decided to give the audience a lip-sync performance since her audio and microphone systems were damaged, but even her vocals were out-of-synch. Her representatives claimed that it was set up by the show’s producers “so they could get Mariah drama.”
The lip-sync was so obvious Mariah had to stop singing.
ABC transmitted the performance to the whole country, so America was able to witness Mariah’s vocal track going on without her.

Frustration and anger were the only “Emotions” she showed with her face.
Mariah was extremely uncomfortable at the performance, she was completely lost and decided to talk to the audience. “Well, Happy New Year,” she huffed. “We can’t hear, but I’ll just go through the motions,” then continued “we’re missing some of these vocals, but it is what it is.”
The dancers were the ones performing.
Carey couldn’t catch the lyrics, she just kept talking and making sarcastic comments as her backup dancers stole the show “Let the audience sing,” she shouted and pointed the microphone at the public “I’m trying to be a good sport here,” she said, “that was … amazing.”
The entire performance was awful.
It didn’t get better with the other song.”Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do to continue with the performance given the circumstances,” told her spokeswoman. In a written statement, Carey repeatedly complained that her earpieces were not working. Her team claimed the performance was the target of a sabotage.
But the blame is on Mariah.
Dick Clark Production company said the diva should have been able to hear the music even without an earpiece and added that it was the singer’s decision not to do a pre-performance sound check.
Mariah took Twitter to talk about the performance.
The singer decided not to make a big deal out of the situation, instead, she celebrated.

Carey was once again the center of attention.
People started to talk about the situation, there were even mocks saying it was ISIS fault.
ISIS just took responsibility for Mariah Carey’s performance. #MariahCarey #nye2016
