Actors have generally been labeled as overdramatic. And it seems logic, despite the criticism since it’s their job. They need to express emotions and inner characteristics that in locations can only be understood by exaggerating.

When someone is overreacting or exaggerating it too much, it simply looks like a parody or something silly. And that was the idea for Jimmy Fallon’s sketch while interviewing Denzel Washington.

Fallon’s talk show always has various amazing segments. Where he does hilarious and silly stuff with his guests. In this occasion, he decided to make fun of the over exaggerating of drama in acting with his interviewed Denzel Washington.

In the sketch, they would both out-drama each other. How? Well, they had to give and epic and dramatic sense to something very important. In their first read. The important script? Some silly greeting cards.

As they both were face to face the commitment they tried to show was pretty funny. As it was just simple cards but they were really focused and doing their best.

They read the messages on the cards and gave to them a way more serious tone. But both couldn’t help but laugh at each other interpretation.

Denzel Drops the glasses.

For some reason, they started speaking in a British way. It seems that is more dramatic for them. And as the contest grew up in “intensity” their interpretations became funnier. Finally, Washington gave a hilarious reading to a birthday card and dropping his glasses, due to a lack of a mic.
