Backup Dancer Accuses Snoop Dogg and His Associate of Sexual Assault, Sex Trafficking

A woman who chose to be identified as Jane Doe has accused rapper and businessman Snoop Dogg of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Doe said Dogg and his associate, Bishop Don Magic Juan, sexually harassed her in a lawsuit filed at the federal court in Los Angeles.

Represented by attorney Matt E.O. Finkelberg of Derek Smith Law Group, Doe said she and her lawyer tried to settle the issue amicably with Dogg and Juan, but they rebuffed them, and they had no choice but to head to court. The lawsuit came a few days before Dogg was scheduled to perform at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

“Gold digger season is here, be careful nephews [his term for fans]; keep ya guards up,” Dogg posted on Instagram in reaction to the lawsuit. “And keep ya circle small.”

According to Doe, she and a friend attended a Snoop Dogg show at the Club Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim in May 2013. She said she entered the VIP area and met with Juan – real name Donald Campbell – who invited her to meet with Dogg at his music studio. At midnight, Juan offered to take her home but since she slept off in the car, she woke up to discover that Dogg’s “spiritual advisor” took her to his own home instead.

Doe said she slept off at Juan’s place and was woken at around 4 am when he was trying to force her to perform a blowjob on him. She said she complied out of fright and when it was over, Juan said he’d like to take her to meet Dogg who was taping his “Snoop Dogg’s Double G News Network” YouTube series maybe he could use her for a “weather girl”.

Doe said she visited the bathroom at the studio and Dogg came inside when she was inside. She said the rapper forced her to suck his manhood while she was using the toilet, and she complied because she was afraid for her life. She said she later took pictures with Dogg before leaving the establishment, but she had suffered depression and nightmares as well as emotional distress since the incident because she was not offered any jobs by the rapper or his associates.

Doe and her attorney have not demanded any particular compensation, but they said this will be decided by a jury at trial.

“We believe, trust, and stand with our client, and we are confident a jury will too,” Finkelberg stated. “We take great pride in representing our courageous and brave client who refuses to be silenced and intimidated any longer.”

While Dogg has appeared unperturbed by the lawsuit, he announced on Wednesday that he just purchased Death Row Records which was released in Doggystyle album in 1993. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members,” he said in a statement. “This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”
