Royalty is something that has always wondered us. There is a certain something in it that really has a magnetic vibe. Also, there are all the fairytales and mythical stories. That feed our imagination with knights, dragons, princesses, and more.
In real life, there are no dragons and knights fighting for a damsel in distress. But there are still the monarchs that have kept on living in a fairytale style. One of those royal families that are still around and are well-known worldwide is the British Royal family. With Queen Elizabeth on the head of it.
Queen Elizabeth’s Saphire anniversary.
The past 6th of February Queen Elizabeth, the longest-serving British monarch of all times, reached her 65th anniversary on the throne. Becoming the first member of the British royal family to achieve a Sapphire Jubilee.
The 90-year-old queen spent the anniversary as she has done every year on Accession Day. By a quiet and private time at her Sandringham country estate in Norfolk, England. Due to the fact it’s also on that date when her father, King George VI, passed away in 1952. With whom she had a very close relationship.

Even though the Queen of England doesn’t celebrate the day as a party. Since she uses this occasion to commemorate her father. Her long-time serving vocation was celebrated around London and across the U.K.
Also, the Sapphire Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth was celebrated with the release of a series of commemorative 5-pound coins. The coins include an imperial state crown on one side and a famous quote from her 1947 speech: “My whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service.”

In addition, to celebrate the occasion a 2014 picture of Queen was re-released. As she is wearing a sapphire suit and jewelry. Since the necklace and earrings, she is showing on the photo were wedding gifts she received from her father in 1947.
Queen Elizabeth inherited the throne when she was 25 and became the longest-reigning monarch in British history on September 9 of 2015. She did by surpassing the record of 63 years and 216 days held previously by her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.
