The Brad Pitt Marijuana Problem Everyone Is Talking About, Whatever

Everybody is shocked about the Brangelina break-up news. What’s the reason behind the couple split? Apparently, it’s not cheating but Pitt’s love for marijuana, which made Angelina consider an inappropriate environment and model for their children. Brad’s addiction is not something new; the actor has dealt with this addiction from his youth.

Let’s begin by the beginning

1993

Pitt features Michael Rapaport’s True Romance. He plays the role of a pot-head called Floyd who spends the days smoking and watching cartoons. This role gave Brad a key component of his star image.

2009

Tarantino revealed how he convinced Brad to take part in Inglorious Basterds. According to Tarantino, he visited Pitt’s home in France, and they discussed the script while smoking. Tarantino recalls Brad’s many smoking apparatus.

In 2009 he invited Brad to his show, Real Time With Bill Maher. During the show, Bill recalls how Brad once spent a whole party rolling joints on the floor. Bill added that those were the best joints he’s smoked, and Brad thanked and said that he was an artist in that area of expertise.

According to Pitt, his darkest times with marijuana were in the 90’s. He told that in the late 90’s he was experiencing a self-hatred period, in which he spent time smoking pot to forget the fact that he was pretty much sick of himself. This he told in an interview with Parade.

Brad talked with THR and talked about his 90’s stoner phase. He said that “I was hiding out from the celebrity thing; I was smoking way too much dope; I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut, and I really got irritated with myself.”

Along with John Legend, Russell Simmons, and Danny Glover, Brad joins to the stars that released a joint statement applauding Obama’s decision not to contest referenda legalizing marijuana use.

In a number of Esquire, Pitt discusses the fact that he famously dropped out of college two credits shy of graduation, attributing it to his marijuana habit.

The National Enquirer publishes a story saying that Brad has a man cave and that he usually goes there with some friends to smoke some joints. It also says that Angelina is getting tired of this habit.
