6. I, Daniel Blake – Ken Loach’s a worthy winner at Cannes Film Festival last May. This film shows a man in his late fifties that is recovering from a terrible heart attack. As no surprise, he will face quite a lot of problems, especially with the insurance people.  Will he be able to get back on his feet?

7. Moonlight – This movie traces the coming-of-age of one lonely black boy living in an unglamorous part of Miami. His mom is a crack addict, and the school bullies aren’t especially comforting either. Moreover, throughout his life, he will face the struggle of what means being gay at a place that has little to no tolerance for this kind of preference.
